T Series Equipment Interface Module
What is a EIM?
In short, the Equipment Interface Module bridges the gap between thermostat and heating system. The thermostat communicates with the EIM, in turn allowing it to control the boiler, heat pump or zone valve functions that make up the heating system in the home.Simplifying the installation experience
A front opening system that allows for an easy installation experience of the Equipment Interface Module and access in restrictive spaces, saving the Pro time and money. With clear labeling, the swivel wiring terminal platform caters for varying wire sizes and install scenarios whilst maximizing space and flexibility during the entire wiring process.Various installation scenarios
Installations in the home vary depending on country, the age of the home walls, environment, retro fit or new installation and access to wires. All have unique benefits and problems.Honeywell BDR91 Equipment Interface Module
A heuristic review was undertaken on the current EIM solution, which had been on the market for over a decade. Liked by the installer but not without it's limitations and pain points.. • Compact design was a benefit in tight cramped spaces but openings lacked room for wiring, difficulty in manipulating wires into terminal blocks.• Risk of cutting cables due to small space between wall box and EIM.• Limited room for excess cable to move and be packed into making the main component difficult to clip back on and press in connector pins. Too much cable and it pops back off or to don't have pins fully inserted leading to malfunctions in operation.• Limited flexibility for different heating applications and future expansion.• Does not cover sufficiently the different wall junction box types used throughout Europe, not a one solution fits all.Wiring Flexibility
